The MAKE DO Manifesto.

A Manifesto to get people involved in conversations around garment use and repair.

‘Make Do’ is a word play on the material sufficiency of our wardrobes and the Make, Do and Mend Initiative of wartime Britain. Make do with what you have in your wardrobe – and maybe mend a little too!

This booklet represents all 37 garments in my wardrobe that may be perceived to need some form of mending. The concertina shape depicts the folded garment on the front and a detail shot of its flaw on the back. In response to the artefacts presented - or indeed the clothes at the back of your wardrobe - use the communication prompts to start a conversation.
